Closing down of the NE_Ancestors mailing list

Due to the recent number of Spam emails that the list has received, and our inability to stop them, the list is closing down with immediate effect.

A new group is being set up with a different provider, and members of the Society will be notified how to join the group via the Society’s journal, newsletter and website. The group will also have a different name.

Please treat all future email from NE_ancestors as spam.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this will cause.

NDFHS 50th Anniversary Conference

Your Society will be 50 years old next year. To celebrate this milestone, the Society is holding a special Anniversary Conference in Brunswick Methodist Church, Brunswick Place, Newcastle on Saturday 14th June. It starts at 10am.

The Society, founded in 1975, promotes interest in family history amongst its members and the general public. We invite you to consider joining and to visit our Research Centre with its library and other research facilities.

We have branches in Blyth, Belmont (Durham), Consett, Hexham,  Mid & North Northumberland, London, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside.
